Dark Empire is a 4.5-week 6-credit study abroad experience based at the University of Greenwich in Southeast London. Students explore historical and
contemporary factors responsible for England’s health disparities. Led by a Department of Health Services professor, the course covers British history, its
National Health Service, social welfare, anti-immigration, urban riots, LGBTQ issues, Islamophobia, COVID-19, and acculturation and assimilation.
