In the Pacific Northwest, it's all about compliance as restaurants begin to open under new guidelines.
A series of guidelines, which were produced by Gov. Jay Inslee, were instituted and restaurants must observe the following, My Northwest reported.
Under Inslee's directives, restaurants must account for its customers to take part in social distancing, meaning patrons must be six feet apart.
Second, all customers and employees must wear masks, My Northwest reported.
Third, establishments must limit seating occupancy inside and outside
Inslee recently unveiled a mandate which requires customers to wear face coverings in the restaurant. In addition, masks are required in all public, indoor spaces and outdoors when maintaining social distance from others is difficult.
“We know that COVID-19 spreads when people come in close contact with one another, such as sitting too close together at restaurants,” Patty Hayes, director of Public Health – Seattle & King County, told My Northwest. “With the rise in cases, there is an even greater urgency to ensure we are working with restaurants to reduce the risks of these potential exposures.”
