A new free COVID-19 testing site opened on Dec. 15 at Bellevue College benefits from its operations being run by an organization that provides free, on-site and remote interpretation services at its clinics.
The new test site at Bellevue College, 2645 145th Ave SE, Bellevue, is the first free, high-capacity COVID-19 test site on the Eastside, King County said on its website.
International Community Health Services will operate the site. Bellevue College will host it with support from King County and the City of Bellevue. The health service provides free on-site and remote interpretation at its clinics in more than 50 languages and dialects. That makes the organization well-suited to operate this testing site, King County said.
Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Online registration is recommended.
King County officials said drive-thru and limited walk-up testing is available. The test site is available via the 221, 226, 245, and 271 bus lines.
Other free test sites are open in Renton, Auburn, Tukwila, Federal Way, Des Moines and Enumclaw.
