Project update: Log Boom Park Waterfront Access & Viewing Project
Last month Road Construction Northwest continued to make progress despite the continued Concrete Workers Strike. When they were able to receive small quantities of concrete, they made several small pours to be able to continue work. Utility connections were made, and irrigation was installed. Landscaping is underway and will be complete later this spring. The boat rental building roof, siding, framing, gutters, and downspouts and rolling doors were installed. Painting the building is dependent on warm, dry weather. Work yet to complete includes the concrete promenade, seeding the lawn, irrigation, fencing, picnic shelter, tables, benches, building lighting and doors and public art. The concrete worker’s strike and Covid related material delays has caused the project to be delayed. Work is suspended until the early spring. The suspended may delay the project opening until early summer.
