The City of Shoreline tests our lakes and ponds when potential toxic algae blooms are found

The  City of Shoreline tests our lakes and ponds when potential toxic algae  blooms are found. Toxic algae can look many different ways and should  always be reported to the City at (206) 801-2700. Below are examples of  blue green and clumping algae that could be toxic. Toxic algae can also  appear to look oily, like a paint spill across the lake or pond.
